NUTRELA PATTIES (12 pieces)

Unusual patties cooked in a milk-based sauce.

For the Patties:  

Treated  Nutrela granules

3 cups

Each grated potato and carrot

½ cup each

 Chili powder

½ tsp

Cloves, powdered

 Mustard powder

¼ tsp.

Slices of bread

4 slices

Milk

¾ cup

Raw Nutrela granules

½ cup

Oil

2 tsp

Pepper powder

½ tsp.

Cinnamon powdered

3 cup

Flour

2 tbsp

Egg

Oil for frying

 

 Sauce for Cooking Patties:  

Mix together each of milk and water

½ cup

cloves powdered

mustard powder

¼ tsp.

cinnamon powdered

pepper corns powdered

1.      Wash well grated potato and carrot and drain. Sauté in 2-tsp. oil, in a thick bottomed or non-stick frying pan.

2.      Add treated Nutrela granules, spices, salt and sauté further. Add milk, cover and let cook till potato is cooked and the mix is nearly dry.

3.      When warm, add flour. Cool. Dip bread in water, squeeze, crush, add egg and knead to pliable dough. Shape into 12 patties.

4.      Fry patties in a spoonful of oil in a pan, till both sides turn brown.

5.      Pour the sauce over the patties in the pan. Cook covered on a low flame till almost dry.

6.      Serve hot, green beans and sautéed in butter and grated carrot, prepared mustard, ketchup or mayonnaise.
